The program is as follows:
Day 1 - Sunday May 29th
Leave France for Tanzania. We are travelling with KLM. Meet at Amsterdam
airport, departure terminal. Flight departure time is 10:30 a.m.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro at 8:05 p.m. local time / transfer to Arusha
is organized for those who arrive on this flight. Night at Masai Camp
in Arusha - in rooms
Day 2 - Monday, May 30
Breakfast and a briefing on the trip.
Administrative formailities in Arusha
- change money at the bank.
Afternoon visit to a workshop
Night at the Masai
camp - in rooms
Day 3 - Tuesday May 31
After breakfast - departure Masai camp to Mbuguni and Merelani
Visit the site for the day.
Night at Moshi at Kilimanjaro
Tourist Inn hotel
Day 4 - Wednesday June 1
After breakfast, departure to Makanya, towards Lushoto.
Visit the mines of rhodolite, hessonite, malaya garnet.
Night at Lawn's hotel in Lushoto.
Day 5 - Thursday June 2
After breakfast, we leave to Kalalani to visit the mines of tsavorite,
rhodolite, green tourmaline, sapphire.
At the end of the day, dinner and camping near Umba or we drive back
to Lawn's hotel in Lushoto.
Day 6 - Friday June 3
After breakfast, visit the mines around Umba.
Ruby mines, fluorite and different types of Umba valley sapphires.
We will explore Umba valley the entire day.
The evening, camping in the same spot near Umba or we will drive back
to the Lawn's hotel in Lushoto.
Day 7 - Saturday June 4
After breakfast departure for Tanga,
on the Indian Ocean.
Relax - swimming,
snorkeling, beach
Spend the night camping on the beach or in banda at Peponi
Holliday Resort
Day 8 - Sunday June 5
After breakfast, pack up the camp.
Departure for Handeni.
Visit the sapphire, tsavorite, quartz and gold mines.
Return to Arusha at the end of the day.
Night at Massai
camp in rooms.
Day 9 - Monday June 6
After breakfast, departure for Longido, depending on the state of
fitness of the participants (tired or not).
Visit the ruby mines.
Return to Arusha, night at Masai
camp in rooms.
Day 10 - Tuesday June 7
Up early, after breakfast, return to Arusha.
Afternoon in Arusha, the gem market and administrative formalities.
The evening, transport to Kilimanjaro airport - night at the hotel
in Arusha for those who wish to stay
until 9 June.
There are also sightseeing options proposed
for those who wish to stay a couple of extra days.
